In 2019, an Indian wedding in Vietnam drew widespread local attention. Dhinesh — already carrying close to a decade around the wedding industry in India, including part-time planning and photography — asked Annie a simple question: could destination weddings here be done differently?
What began as an experiment became serious very quickly. Dhinesh’s Indian background made the opportunity feel natural: international couples needed more than someone who could organise a venue. They needed a team that could understand culture, families, rituals and the rhythm of multi-day celebrations — then translate all of it into the realities of Vietnam.
Annie brought the other half of the equation: local language, hospitality, venues, suppliers and an instinct for how things actually move on the ground. DATED grew from that combination — not as two separate viewpoints, but as one studio built to connect them.
DATED is led by two founders with different cultural reference points and one shared expectation: every celebration should feel considered from the first conversation to the final guest departure.
